Benihana Special

INGREDIENTS

1 Japanese onion soup

1 Benihana salad (fresh green salad with ginger dressing)

2 shrimp

2 oz onion

2 oz zucchini

2 oz green peas

180 grams Australian sirloin

90 grams tiger prawn

100 g bean sprouts

oil

butter

Japanese soy sauce

salt

black pepper

fresh lemon juice

METHOD

Hibachi Shrimp Appetizer with Vegetables

Heat a griddle then pour on oil and let it heat until it just begins to smoke. Place shrimp on griddle and sauté for about 3 minutes on each side. Add butter and continue to cook for 1 to 2 minutes longer or until lightly browned on each side. Sprinkle on black pepper to taste. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp. Remove from griddle and serve hot as an appetizer, alongside stir-fried vegetables (onions, zucchini and green peas cooked with butter, soy sauce and topped off with salt and pepper).

Individually stir-fry Australian sirloin, tiger prawn, and bean sprouts Teppanyaki style with butter, fresh lemon juice, soy sauce and a touch of salt and pepper.
