Dishes from Thailand’s neighbours at Oasis, Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya

oasisThailand has beautiful neighbours, with fascinating culinary traditions, and a selection of dishes from the region is being served throughout September at Oasis, the all-day restaurant at Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya.

From Laos, there is khaojee Vientiane, in which a French baguette is stuffed with pork pate, lettuce, tomato, carrots and onions, and given an extra zing with a dash of chilli sauce: price, only 190 baht ++.

Cambodia presents amok, a creamy fish curry served in a banana leaf and priced at 230 baht ++. Myanmar’s mohingais considered a national dish, and is a hot-and-sour soup made with fish and rice noodles: enjoy it like the Burmese do at any time of the day from breakfast onwards, at 250 baht ++.
