A new beach bus is now serving Pattaya and Jomtien. Designed to provide more options and convenience for residents and tourists, the air conditioned vehicles will run from North Pattaya to Jomtien and some 50 on-off points in between. All for 20 baht (10 baht for kids).
Routing starts at the Furama Hotel, Jomtien Soi 14 at 11 AM. From there, the bus goes to Thappraya Road, Pattaya Second Road, Dolphin Roundabout, North Pattaya Bus Terminal, City Hall, down Beach Road and Walking Street to Thappraya, Jomtien and the
Pattaya Floating Market, according to Suriyon Klindee, manager of Pattaya Beach Bus Co., Ltd. The bus makes five rounds each day–every two hours, with the last trip leaving the Floating Market at 9:10 PM weeknights, 10:10 PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“There are more than 50 stop signs–red boxes standing on poles–for along the Beach Bus route,” Suriyon says.
Klaus Jurgen, marketing and public relations manager of the Pattaya Floating Market, notes that his popular tourist attraction heartily supports the new bus project, calling it “a very good opportunity for everyone living here in Pattaya to have beach bus service. This is because the routing links many places of hotel, governmental organization, attraction, transportation, etc.”
