Chonburi and Pattaya Police arrested two foreign criminals who had specialized in renting expensive Honda PCX motorbikes and then hiding them in hotel parking garages. When the pair felt that “the heat was off,” they would sell the stolen bikes for around 5,000 baht, a knock-down price as there was obviously no accompanying log book. Ipekxi Ipaem, 25, and his Pakistani accomplice were arrested after a snitch reported detailed information to the police. The pair were found holding fake passports. There are believed to be other gang members in the Pattaya area and vehicle rental agencies were warned to carefully check documentation of prospective customers.
