Cervical Cancer is the 5th most deadly cancer in women and affects 16 out of every 100,000 women around the world. Here in Pattaya a campaign has been organized to educate women on this form of cancer and how to ensure that early detection of the cancer can take place.
The Thai Cancer Society will hold a seminar between 12th and 14th August which will feature a parade along Pattaya Beach Road on 13th August to highlight Cervical Cancer and the dangers associated with it.
Women will also be encouraged to go for smear tests at least once a year. The seminar will be held at the Dusit Resort in North Pattaya and on Thursday Morning at Pattaya City Hall a preparation meeting was held to discuss the details of the event, chaired by Khun Apichart, deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City Hall.
