Officers from the Pattaya Police Station recently received a report that a young Thai man, acting as a tourist on Pattaya Beach Road opposite the Royal Garden Plaza Shopping Mall, was in fact peddling drugs to tourists in the area.
The officers discretely made their way to the location where they observed Khun Theeraporn Cheydee, aged 17 and from Bangkok, indeed trying to pass himself off as a tourist while he tried to sell his merchandise. Officers made themselves known to the young man, and upon searching, he was found to be in possession of two bags of Marijuana and a straw that is believed to contain Heroin.
He confessed to his crime and explained to the officers that he had purchased the Marijuana from a friend and was selling on Beach Road for 300 baht a bag. The straw in fact contained fake Heroin that he had made before he left home from flour and other household items.
He was arrested and charged with being in possession with the intent to sell a Class 5 drug and will now have to await his day in court.
