Miss Namfon Saramsoke, aged 28, complained to police that she had been shocked to the core after being stopped by three female hooligans near the Dolphin Roundabout in North Pattaya. The awful thing was that the terror merchants had a gun with them and were not afraid to point it.
Feeling threatened in-deed, Miss Namfon handed over her bag – she had recently visited a 7-Eleven store – which contained two mobile phones and some uninteresting groceries. After that the trio sped away, but were later captured by intelligent police work in Soi Wong Amat. The suspects were aged between 14 and 16 years and one of them was found to be concealing a hand gun and two mobile phones.
The girls confessed they had robbed the victim to convert the mobiles to ready cash which they could then spend on enjoying themselves by playing internet games. They said they had borrowed the gun from a friend but it had never entered their heads actually to fire it. The parents of the nere’do wells have been informed and further judicial proceedings could well follow.
