Literacy and numeracy needs highlighted

Supranee Jinda, deputy director of the Pattaya Education Department, announced a new literacy and numeracy program to improve the standard of local youngsters who have difficulty with reading, writing and arithmetic. Supranee said all primary school pupils in Pattaya would be tested for the first time in 2013. The 10 percent who fail would be given the extra help required by way of special tutorials.
