The Ministry of Tourism and Sports sponsored “Tourist Safety 2013” training at the Eastern Grand Palace Hotel Pattaya to encourage authorities in the province to make the Eastern Seaboard a prototype for creating tourist confidence. Police spokespersons explained their policies for dealing with emergencies, disaster evacuation, rescuing, use of radio and emergency first aid and medical facilities. Nearly 200 people joined the meeting, principally those involved in the tourist industry from both the private and public sectors.
