President of the United States Navy League, Peter Thorand, together with personnel from the American Navy, led by, LT John A. Carter, Command Chaplain, USS Lake Erie, recently joined forces with the management and staff of the Marriott Hotel and Spa to donate equipment to patients in the paediatric department at the Bangkok Hospital.

The hospital spokeswoman, Mrs. Thaephin Ingget, Head of Nursing at the hospital warmly thanked everyone for their generosity.

In a short speech, LT Carter, explained that all American personnel when visiting Pattaya are always overwhelmed with the reception given to them by
the Thai people, and the superb comradeship they experience when involved in joint military training programs with the Thai Military.

Today he took great pleasure, along with his colleagues to make the donation of medical supplies, around 2,000 American Dollars (70,000 Baht) including wet wipes, plasters, soap, dental floss, children’s towels, diapers, etc.
