A middle-aged Thai woman seems to have accidentally died after falling into the Huay Tu canal in Sattahip. The dead woman was identified as Korkaew Prasertsang, 50, who was a local collector and seller of plants which she found in wooded areas. Her husband reported that she had left the house as usual in the early morning but failed to return by mid-afternoon. Because this was unusual, he had telephoned the police. The prevailing theory is that she must have fainted; she had no known enemies and there were no signs of third-party involvement.
