Russian tennis star and world no 2 Vera Zvonareva arrives at Dusit Thani Pattaya for 2011 PTT Pattaya Open

Dusit Thani Pattaya general manager Mr. Chatchawal Supachayanont is seen as he welcomes PTT Pattaya Open 2010 title holder Ana Zvonareva on her arrival to the hotel that has been the host to the WTA tournament for 20 years now.

Set to defend her  title at the US$220,000 PTT Pattaya Open to be held 6-13 February, Vera Zvonareva arrived at Dusit Thani Pattaya on Saturday night, 29 January, a week earlier than most of the participating players including Ana Ivanovic (Serbia), former No 1 Grand Slam champion, former world No 5 Daniela Hantuchova (Slovak Rep), world No 20 Maria Kirilenko (Russia), Thailand’s Tamarine Tanasugarn and Noppawan Lertcheewakarn, Japanese icon Kimiko Date-Krumm, Yaroslava Shvedova (Kazakhstan), winner of Wimbledon and US Open doubles titles in 2010, world No 26 Zheng Jie (China), Sybille Bammer (Austria), 2007 Pattaya title holder.

The hotel General Manager, Mr. Chatchawal Supachayanont, led the management in giving a warm welcome to the Russian superstar who arrived straight from her semi-final appearance at the Australian Open. She is looking to prepare ahead of time that may serve her goal of an unprecedented hat trick in the PTT Pattaya Open which is celebrating its 20th year anniversary with Dusit Thani Pattaya. The 2010 event was voted Tournament of the Year by the WTA players who cited reasons of having experienced a unique Thai culture in the resort city as well as the warm service and welcoming hospitality of the host hotel where they also enjoyed a truly relaxing resort setting.
