Another Superb Lighthouse Networking Event

The Lighthouse Club Meetings get better as each month passes.

Friday night saw members from Pattaya’s Lighthouse Club meet at the very prestigious ‘Zulu’ Bar in the new Centara Grand Mirage Hotel in Naklua.

Once again the committee had chosen a spectacular venue for their monthly get together, and some superb food and a free flow of beer and wine, ensured everyone had a fantastic time.

Open Auditions for Murder at Rutherford House

Pattaya Players (Home of Pattaya’s Professional Amateurs) is proud to announce auditions for its upcoming murder mystery performance of Murder at Rutherford House! There are parts for both male and female actors of all ages and auditions will take place at Indian By Nature Restaurant in Jomtien at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 20, 2010.

Pattaya hosts Miss Italia Asia 2010 crowning ceremony

As we reported in our last edition, the 2010 Miss Italia competition, due to be held in Bangkok, however, moved to Pattaya following the Red Shirt demonstrations, saw Khun Giada, aged 18, take the title for this year and be crowned Miss Italia 2010.

The competition which was held at the Italian Consulate here in Pattaya, was open to contestants from all over Asia with Italian blood, and Khun Giada will now be making the long trip to Italy, to compete in the Miss Italia World Finals in Jesolo on the 30th June.

We wish her every success later in the month and hope she enjoys her trip to Italy.

Triumphant Return for Nong Nooch Gardens Chelsea Flower Show winners

We were delighted recently to make the trip to Thailand’s main airport, Suvanabumi, situated close to Bangkok, to welcome back the delegation from the Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens, who flushed with their recent success at the Chelsea Flower Show, were eager to show off their winning Gold Certificate.

The team from Nong Nooch created an Asian themed garden at the popular flower show, and thanks to the hard work and dedication of the staff, the garden, which took almost a week to complete, and was one of the highlights of this year’s event, was enjoyed by 10,000’s of visitors to this prestigious yearly event, which attracts enthusiasts from all over the world.
