Two year old Twins, Ophelia and Ananda shared their second birthday with the kids from Father Ray Day care Center on Sukhumvit Road, Pattaya.

Over 130 needy children cared for every day at the Father Ray Day Care Center, enjoyed special treats for lunch today (Friday 19 March), courtesy of the young twins’ parents, internationally acclaimed Costume Designer, Opal Sangnark from Thailand and Canadian born, professional Musical Director, Philip Clarke.

Ice cream was enjoyed as temperatures soared, though undoubtedly the highlight of the birthday celebration, were the ladies from a neighbouring food outlet who came to the evergreen environment of Father Ray Center, and cooked Kahnom Krok, a delicious Thai speciality made from corn, coconut milk and rice…yummy!

Opal Sangnark was the creator of the national flag costumes worn by the ‘We Are The World Choir’ who performed so melodically at the Father Ray Children’s Village Celebratory Opening recently. Philip, her husband, wrote the arrangement and directed the Father Ray children in a unique version of the Michael Jackson/Lionel Ritchie No 1 hit song.

Diplomats from seven donating countries, depicted by the flag costumes, were invited to the Celebration which was also attended by Pattaya’s Deputy Mayor and the British Hon. Consul.
