The management of eatigo (Thailand) Co., Ltd announced the unveiling of Pattaya as its second city in Thailand, following the commercial launch of Bangkok in Q3 2014 and Singapore in Q4 2014. The company also announced it has crossed the 200,000 download threshold for its ground-breaking restaurant reservation app.
The launch of Pattaya will see over 23 top restaurants from leading hotels such as Hilton, Centara Grand Mirage, Holiday Inn, Sheraton to name a few, plus a good selection of independent establishments joining with more to be added on a regular basis.
Michael Cluzel, Group CEO of eatigo said, “The launch of Pattaya is a natural first choice for expansion due to its geographic proximity to Bangkok where the bulk of our user base in Thailand resides, along with Pattaya’s strong international and domestic tourism potential. We are also looking at other
cities in Thailand so that users can enjoy dining at up to 50 percent off at top restaurants in more destinations.”
Via its apps for android, iPhone and on the web, eatigo is fast becoming the leading choice of diners looking to make free reservations with discounts up to 50 percent off at the top restaurants in Thailand and Singapore. For restaurants, eatigo’s business model effectively takes the tried and tested yield management principles of charging different prices at different times found in hotel and airline reservations, and applies it to restaurants.
This allows them to earn new customers and revenue for empty off-peak tables that traditionally would contribute nothing to their bottom line. For diners and restaurants, the mix is proving to be an invaluable combination.
Since launching in mid 2014 more than 250 leading restaurants have signed up to the platform in Bangkok, Pattaya and Singapore. In Bangkok alone, restaurants including Akiyoshi, Nippon Kei, Bottoms Up, Mellow, Ku De Ta, Hard Rock Café and dozens of top hotels have joined recently. Over 150,000 happy diners have been seated to date.
