Continuing its eco car leadership, Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. launched the all-new Nissan Note, its third eco car model boasting many class-leading safety technology innovations. The all-new Note will be available from March 17, 2017.
Speaking at the launch, Antoine Barthes, president, Nissan Motor (Thailand) said the all-new Nissan Note made a number of the latest safety technologies, elements of Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility concept, available for the first time to Thai motorists driving compact cars.
“With the all-new Nissan Note, we are confirming our leadership in the eco car segment and underlining Nissan’s commitment to deliver the very latest technologies to the broadest range of customers, not just the premier segment,” Barthes said. “Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility encompasses three core areas of innovation that inspire how cars are driven, powered and integrated into society, namely, Intelligent Driving, Intelligent Power and Intelligent Integration. In the all-new Note, Nissan is introducing key technologies, particularly in the Intelligent Driving area, which mean customers get more confidence through increased safety, control and comfort for everyone on board,” he added.
The all-new Note arrives in Thailand hot on the heels of its huge success in Japan, the world’s most technologically-demanding auto market. Last November the newest model Note for the Japan market became the top-selling vehicle in that country.
Nissan Motor’s Sachiko Aoki, chief product specialist, highlighted the all-new Nissan Note’s design inspiration and technological innovations under the concept of “Dynamic & Innovative Compact”.
The all-new Note offers a roomy and relaxed interior, enhanced horizontal movement and best-in-class space. But the Note’s really outstanding offerings are the best-in-class safety innovations to helps drivers avoid accidents of various kinds, such as Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Pedestrian Forward Emergency Braking (PFEB) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). And with four cameras for the front, rear and sides, the Nissan Note offers compact class firsts with Around View Monitor (AVM) and Moving Object Detection (MOD).
All of this Intelligent Driving technology makes drivers and passengers more relaxed so they can enjoy the smooth power delivered by the in-line 3-cylinder DOHC 1,198cc displacement engine with a maximum power output of 79 PS, with XTRONIC CVT D-Step transmission that not only enhances the fun of driving but also provides superb fuel efficiency (FE) as well.
Nissan’s leadership of the eco car segment in Thailand began in 2010 with the launch of Thailand’s first eco car, the Nissan March, which was quickly followed by the first eco-car sedan, the Nissan Almera in 2011. Such was the success of these two models that Nissan was the first eco car producer to celebrate cumulative production of 500,000 eco car units in July, 2016. Some 50 per cent of Nissan’s eco car production has been exported to more than nine countries, including Japan, underlining the world-class manufacturing quality delivered by Nissan Motor Thailand’s skilled Thai workforce.
According to Nissan Motor Thailand’s vice president, Marketing, Sureetip La-Ongthong Chomthongdee, the all-new Nissan Note is determined to win the hearts and minds of young, stylish and modern Thai motorists by offering the “Best mobility of modern life”. “The all-new Nissan Note is a dynamic and innovative compact eco car.
