MAYBE it was the tall fairway grass or maybe it was the humidity, whatever it was, several of the regulars failed to show up this Wednesday, 7 April at the Pattaya Country Club. . Many excuses were heard but still Eleven hardy players showed up and did the 18. The course was in reasonably good shape with lots of tall grass stems in the fairways. It didn’t take long for the humidity to hit the high mark. As cards came in to Caddy Shack II, it appeared the heat did have an adverse effect on some. Herb Ishinaga and Larry Emerson both carded a 33; however, Herb beat Larry on the count back. Bill Thompson came in with a 32 while Donald Goins carded a 31. Herbie provided the usual array of snacks as well as Pork Loin slices and the standard Hot Dogs.”
