Earlier this week, 45 hatched python eggs were found under a house in Phitsanulok, which the homeowners believe is a sign of good luck.
The python was not found, by the way, but there were many snakeskins around the location.
The Phitsanulok rescue team received a report on June 15, 2021, from villagers who found large quantities of snake skins behind their home. The residents were afraid of danger from the snakes in the area.
A team of trained snake catchers went to the house in question. The team found large snake skins in 3 different places. The team believes there is at least 1 python in the area.
The snakeskins found together totalled 8-9 meters and is an unbelievable amount. So the team started looking for snakes in the neighbourhood and around the house for the safety of villagers and pets in the village.
When searching an area behind the house, officials noticed that the floor was plaster and there was room underneath. Below that it would be dark and quiet, a perfect location for snakes and other creatures to hide from humans for so long. The rescue team decided to demolish part of the floor and what they found was shocking. Inside, 45 empty snake eggs had been found, meaning they should all be roaming around the area.
With this discovery, the team went to even greater lengths to search the area for small and large snakes, but none were found. The team thinks all the snakes are hiding in the woods behind the house. The snake eggs have now been safely removed.
The homeowner and neighbours told the Sanook News Team that they believe these snakes are a sign of good luck. The locals believe it is no coincidence that snakeskins and snake eggs show up just before the government lottery draw. From the length and snakeskin, the number of eggs and the house number, the lucky numbers include 111, 20, 45 and 89.
