The Meteorological Department has pushed out a strong storm warning for people in eight Thai provinces.
from 4.00 a.m. yesterday (5 November), Tropical storm “GONI” which is now over the middle South China Sea was centered about 350 kilometers east of Qui-Nhon, Vietnam.
With its maximum wind speed of about 75 km/hour, it is moving west slowly. It was expected to make landfall over Qui-Nhon last night (5 November) after this the storm will then be downgraded to a tropical depression and active low pressure.
Isolated rain and strong winds are likely over the Thai provinces of Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Nayok and Prachin Buri. all persons in these regions should take care when traveling out
