All 77 provinces in Thailand will receive Covid19 vaccines from April
The Thai Ministry of Health plans to distribute nearly 30 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in all 77 provinces by August.
According to Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong, director-general of the Department of Disease Control (DDC), vaccinations are mainly aimed at high-risk groups, who make up 10.4 million of the 28.1 million vaccine candidates during this period.
The number of counties receiving vaccines will increase from 13 this month to all 77 counties next month. In the first phase of the vaccination campaign from February 28 to March 25, 136,190 doses were administered. Of these, 121,392 people received the first dose and the remainder received the second of the two required vaccinations.
The Department of Health Service Support (DHSS) is warning the population not to fall for false ads offering Covid-19 vaccinations for a fee.
The vaccinations are distributed through a chat application line. The line group chat was created by what is known as the Qinsong Group, which claims to offer vaccines with 100% effectiveness.
