A video clip of a bus driver stopping in the middle of a highway in Bangkok to rescue a dog has won the hearts of many people in the country.
Several drivers had previously called the JS100 traffic radio station and urged authorities to rescue the dog, fearing it might be run over.
Shortly afterward, the driver of the No. 166 bus pulled up and opened the doors to let the dog in. The bus was bound for Chaengwattana Road. The dog had wandered from home two days ago and has since been reunited with its owner.
The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority has given the bus driver and conductor a certificate of merit and monetary reward for their animal-friendly act.
The information and video clip was released by JS100.
