Animal Protection Pattaya warns of two confirmed cases of rabies in dogs in Huay Yai
The following is a message your news bear read on the local animal army’s Facebook page that posted about rabies in stray dogs in Huay Yai.Â
Their statement includes:
Public notice, a rabies outbreak, residents of Huai Yai must be on alert for the next 14 days and report dogs with rabies symptoms.
Symptoms may include:
– seem overstimulated or erratic
– dizzying
– excessive drooling
– not eating or difficulty swallowing
– unusual biting behaviour
– seizures, fever, paralysis
If you are concerned about an animal, film it from a safe distance, pin the location and call 085 093 5954 immediately.
The first case of rabies is reported by rescuer Nikki Mancini. There are currently concerns about at least 20 dogs living in the same territory who may be infected, including puppies.
