Bangkok police prematurely end dinner of 116 guests
The manager of Korean restaurant Xoxo in Bangkok’s Klong Toei district and 116 diners were arrested last Saturday for violating the state of emergency. Of the detained guests, 89 are said to be Thai nationals and 27 foreigners.
The manager, Sirichai Samnakhon, was charged with violating the contagious disease law by serving alcoholic beverages and operating the restaurant during the curfew, which runs from 11 pm to 3 am.
All 116 guests, meanwhile, have been charged with being part of a gathering of 50 or more people in an area under maximum control.
