In Thailand’s capital, all drivers and passengers inside cars are now obliged to wear masks during the entire trip if there is more than one person in the car.
On Monday, 27th April, city hall said that wearing a mask is compulsory in all vehicles carrying more than one person on the roads of the capital.
City official Silapasuay Ravizaengsun confirmed the demand, saying it is part of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s measures to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
According to her, if there is more than one person in the car, the driver and passengers must wear masks. This rule applies to everyone, even if all the people in the car belong to the same family.
The order took effect on Monday. People who do not wear masks while outside the home face a fine of up to 20.000 baht. Last week the Prime Minister if Thailand was fined for not wearing a mask in public
