An Air India Boeing 777 scheduled to fly from Delhi to New York last Thursday had to return half an hour after departure because a bat was discovered in the cabin.
Images show how the animal flies past passengers in Economy Class.
It is not clear how the bat got into the device: it may have happened during loading and unloading. After the return of the Boeing and the disembarkation of the passengers, the plane was smoked out, after which the mammal was found dead in Business Class.
Bats can spread all kinds of dangerous diseases, which is one of the reasons why flying to New York was not an option.
