Blackpink’s Lisa has big plans for Buriram in mind

Thai singer Lalisa Manoban aka Lisa, the only Thai member of the K-Pop girl band Blackpink, said she wants to improve the education standards of children in her home province of Buriram.

In an interview with the Korea Times yesterday, the pop star said she was interested in starting an international cultural exchange program with the help of the Korea Foundation.

The foundation is building a cultural complex at the Non Suwan Phittayakhom School in Buriram this year and also plans to establish a K-pop dance academy with local teachers.

Launched in 2016 by YG Entertainment, the girl group was the first Korean band to enter Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart and top the charts.
