Cats and dogs in Pattaya must be registered within 365 days, per a new law the Chonburi governor passed last week.

The Chonburi Governor has approved and signed on September 2 for the Cat and Dogs Public Control code of law which will be enforced after passing the seven days of the signing.

Cats and dogs must be registered within 365 days since the code of law has been enforced. The fine for not following the law is up to 10,000 baht.

Cats and dogs are being banned in public areas in Pattaya and on roads in North Pattaya from Sukhumwit Road to Loma Circle. It is unclear based on the information released exactly what this means for animals that live on the streets or what enforcement will be taken at this time.
