Region 2 police announced the arrest of two abusive brothers who murdered a man who resisted and put another in the trunk of his stolen Camry and fired at him as he attempted to flee.

The 30-year-old Norathip Khumphai alias “Golf” from Chiang Rai and his 23-year-old brother Chayanat alays “Nat”, living in Ratchaburi, were arrested, Thai Rath reported. As evidence, a Nissan March and a Toyota Camry and many other items were seized

They have been charged with a variety of offenses, including armed robbery at night and gun offenses that resulted in the death of a man.

The first offense on August 10 was in Bang Lamung near Pattaya. The brothers drove a Nissan March and stole a Toyota Camry belonging to a 35-year-old man named Saharat at 3 a.m. He was ordered to get into the trunk of the car and was then driven to Chachoengsao where he was released and he was quickly made to run away, the terrified man did not hesitate and ran, but was immediately shot. The brothers took the car, a telephone and 1,000 baht in cash.

Two days later, last Friday, the brothers were at it again when they used the stolen Camry and approached a 27-year-old man named Piyawat who was driving home to his apartment with his girlfriend. He had parked in the Soi Laem Chabang tower. He refused to give up his car and was shot in the head. The thieves stole a phone in a bag and fled. The victim later died in hospital from his serious injuries.

The police have taken both of them for the reconstruction of their crimes.
