Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai claimed their third title in a row, but Ratchanok Intanon missed a chance to win her first crown in nearly two years at the Indonesia Open yesterday in Bali.
The mixed double stars crossed Japan’s Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino 21-12, 21-13 in 41 minutes in the final to earn 2 million baht.
The win was their third consecutive title after the Indonesia Masters in Bali and Hylo Open in Germany.
But Ratchanok missed her chance to win her first title in nearly two years, after losing to South Korea’s An Se-Young 17-21, 20-22 in 46 minutes.
The 26-year-old Ratchanok last won a tournament at the Indonesia Masters last January.
Still, she got the modest prize of 953,700 baht because she finished second yesterday.
