In the conversation with Twitter employees, Musk would mainly have calmed the staff. Earlier, the message came out that he wanted to fire three-quarters of the staff, but yesterday Musk is said to have told employees that that is not true.
He also reassured advertisers in a longer statement on Twitter. “I also believe that ads, when done right, can inform, delight and entertain,” Musk writes. “It is, therefore, essential to show Twitter users ads that are as relevant to them as possible.”

He also writes that there has been a lot of speculation about his motives for taking over the social media company. “I didn’t do it because it would be easy. I didn’t do it to make more money. I did it to help humanity I love.”
