The Department of Disasters and Civil Protection announced on Monday morning that at least 70 homes and 15 vehicles had been damaged by an explosion at a foam factory in Bang Phli district.
The explosion set the 32-year-old factory on fire in the early hours of Monday, burning to the ground.
No deaths have been reported so far, although about 20 people – 15 residents and five officials – have been injured as a result of the incident.
