The long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 is still in development, but 90 (!) videos of the game were leaked on Sunday. There is a rumour online that a hacker released the images. Developer Rockstar has not yet responded.
The images were shared on the forum GTAForums by someone who calls himself a ‘teapotuberhacker’. The hacker claims to have obtained the videos through the internal Rockstar Slack channel. Slack is a communication program that many companies use to communicate with each other internally.

Rockstar games after finding out GTA 6 has been leaked: pic.twitter.com/2hoUAa1XLf

Earlier this year, Rockstar announced that the sixth part of Grand Theft Auto is in the works. Fans have had to wait a long time for this, because it has been almost ten years since GTA 5 came out.
Fake clips circulate regularly, but the internet is convinced that the footage is legit this time . There’s even a video showing one of Rockstar’s proprietary development tools in action. The videos posted online cover different stages of the game’s development. Some show new characters (like the female character promised earlier ), others are just simple animation tests.
What GTA fans will also notice is that the characters in the videos sometimes carry pistols in their hands and a rifle on their backs. It seems that Rockstar will use the ‘inventory system’ of Red Dead Redemption 2 because of this. Because of this, you may only be able to carry a few weapons with you in the new game.
There is a lot of speculation about the game’s leaks on Twitter and the necessary memes are shared. Some fans hope Rockstar will take the footage offline, as this would confirm that it was real footage. Will no doubt be continued?
