Thailand’s Meteorological Service has announced that heavy rain would fall in the lower north, including Chai Nat province, in the coming days, pushing the Chao Phraya Dam, which is already at its limit, even more water from the Chao Getting Phraya River.

In the northeastern province of Chaiyaphum, Vietnam’s tropical storm “DIANMU” caused heavy rainfall in the Phu Laen Kha Mountains. This caused the Lam Pa Thao Dam to overflow into Tat Ton National Park, after which authorities banned tourists from swimming in Tat Ton Waterfall.

Meanwhile, Thailand’s National Water Resources Bureau said heavy rains would continue in the lower north, including Chai NaT province, in the coming days.

The agency warned the parties involved to monitor water levels in the Chao Phraya basin.

The Meteorological Department forecast thunderstorms in 60-80% of the country for this weekend, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall.
