Must read

You may already be aware: there is a new registration opportunity for a covid vaccine, now from Pfizer, a gift from the US.

In an email Luc Sterck wrote:

You may have noticed that the Thai Ministry of Health has launched a new registration platform for the pre-registration of foreigners for a COVID-19 vaccination.

I was able to collect the following information via the Facebook group “Thailand Expat Belgium” of your neighbour. This vaccination is based on the 150,000 US donated Pfizer vaccines. Each dose is good for x6 vaccinations, or in other words sufficient for the approximately 350,000 ex-pat community in Thailand….

PROCEDURE

Most interested parties have already been able to register without any worries
via the new website https://expatvac.consular.go.th . After entering your e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail containing a personalized link to the actual registration platform.

Note: even if you receive the following error message when sending, you will still receive a confirmation e-mail with the necessary information and link – sometimes hours later.

Before you start the actual registration, it is advisable to make a scan of your passport (photo page) and the current visa. Persons with a medical risk must also provide a scanned certificate.

Note: Make sure that the joint file size of these attachments does not exceed 10Mb!

The following information is required:

– name, family name,

– passport number, nationality

– place of residence, address, town, district, province

– upload of passport, visa document and any medical certificate.

After sending the document, it is possible that you will receive an error message again. Don’t worry though, you can always check whether the registration was successful via the link in the e-mail.

As indicated in the confirmation of registration above, we will then receive a confirmation email in due time stating the place (hospital), date and time.

This last e-mail must then be confirmed by the recipient within 24 hours, otherwise, the vaccination will be cancelled automatically!

I hope this information can be of use to members.

Kind regards,

L. Sterck
