How do you prevent a snake from biting your privates in Thailand?

Thai social media has posted pictures of a cobra emerging from a toilet bowl during the rainy season, raising warnings to check the toilet carefully before using it.

But how do you prevent hoses from ending up in your toilet bowl?

The Thai Facebook page “Yark Dung Diew Jud Hat gad posted a message on Saturday. The posting urged people to watch out for snakes coming out of the toilet bowl during the rainy season, with pictures of the real incident attached. The message immediately went viral among terrified internet users.

The posting made the following suggestions to prevent snakes from biting your privates in the least and clinging to the man of the house testicles in the worst case:

  • Attach a net or grid to the drain to prevent snakes and other animals such as rats, frogs, centipedes from entering.
  •  Install a ventilation shaft on the roof that prevents snakes or other animals from slipping in from above.
  • Regularly inspect and examine covers, leaks and holes in the sewers, walls and areas around the house.
  • Remove as many small animals as rats or lizards to eliminate the food source of the snakes.
