Hua Hin also does not escape the Covid19 restrictions, look here what is open and closed

This royal beach resort on the Thai Riviera is also subject to newly announced restrictions that will remain in effect throughout Prachuap Khiri Khan province until August 31.

According to an order released yesterday by provincial governor Phallop Singhaseni, the restrictions will be in effect until August 31.

The order signed yesterday confirms much of the information already reported regarding business closures, curfews and other restrictions.

The provincial restrictions have been imposed after the administrative centre for Covid19 containment, the CCSA, reclassified Prachuap Khiri Khan province as a ‘dark red’ zone.

Here is a summary of the closures in Hua Hin:

  • Pubs, bars and karaoke lounges.
  • Massages – all forms, traditional, foot, steam, baths, except medical treatment in government hospitals.
  • Boxing stadium, Muay Thai school and martial arts schools.
  • Snooker rooms, billiards, game shops, arcades and internet cafes.
  • Movie theatres.
  • Water parks amusement parks and swimming pools, children’s playgrounds, inflatable playgrounds and ball pools.
  • zoos.
  • Banquet halls and meeting rooms.
  • Beauty salons and weight management clinics.
  • Golf courses.
  • Gyms and fitness centres.
  • Sports fields and badminton, football, tennis, basketball halls.
  • All educational facilities.
  • driving schools.
  • Public Libraries.
  • Nail salons, hair salons, hairdressers and tattoo parlours
  • Museums, National Parks and the Rajabhakti Park.
  • Large building material stores.
  • Amulet centres and markets.

Furthermore:

  • The hotels are allowed to offer accommodation but are not allowed to organize banquets, seminars or meetings. Food can be served but must be buffet style and no people are allowed to sit around large tables.
  • Convenience stores and fresh markets are allowed to open from 04:00 am to 20:00 pm
  • Shopping centres and department stores are allowed to open but no later than 8 pm and only those businesses deemed essential such as supermarkets, pharmacies and food and beverage outlets.
  • Restaurants, whether located in a shopping centre or elsewhere, are allowed to open, but may only serve food for takeaway and must close at 8 pm.

There is also a 9 pm-4 am curfew, requiring people to stay at home unless they have a valid reason to travel, such as going to work, a medical emergency, or travelling to the airport, for example.

Events with more than five people are strictly prohibited unless the organizer has prior approval from the province.

The governor also announced that two checkpoints will be set up – one for the Bo Fai people service centre on Petchkasem Road, and one for the Petchkasem Foundation on Cha-am-Pranburi Bypass Road.
