The island government’s goal is to develop Koh Larn, currently Pattaya’s main attraction for domestic tourists, into a so-called “Blue Village for Tourists”, completely free of Covid-19.
According to the Thai Tourism Authority (TAT), “Blue” stands for “Business, Leisure and Ultimate Experience” and is part of a marketing campaign that aims to increase domestic and foreign visitors’ confidence in the safety of Thai tourists destinations during the pandemic. increase increase.
Pattaya Mayor Sonthaya Khunplume told the press that booster vaccination with AstraZeneca’s vaccine was the top priority for the islanders, who had already been vaccinated twice with Sinovac’s Covid-19 vaccine between March and May this year.
The mayor added that Chonburi’s health department will continue to provide Covid19 vaccines to Pattaya so that as many residents as possible can be fully vaccinated by the time the city is scheduled to open to foreign tourists on November 1 this year.
