Italian man tries to dodge Covid jab using fake arm

Must read

An Italian man has tried to get vaccinated in a fake arm. With a limb made of silicone, he tried to deceive a nurse in Biella, northern Italy, to avoid having to be vaccinated with a corona shot.

The colour and touch of the fake arm made the nurse at the vaccination centre suspicious. When she asked the man to show his whole arm, the man was caught. He would then have asked the nurse to turn a blind eye, the BBC reports. “The incident borders on the ridiculous, but in fact, it is an extremely serious and unacceptable act,” said the Italian authorities, who have now launched an investigation into the man.

The man in his fifties normally works in health care but has been suspended for refusing to vaccinate. The vaccine is mandatory for all healthcare staff in Italy and from 6 December you must also be able to demonstrate that you have been vaccinated or cured in the country for a restaurant visit.
