Jeffrey Dahmer’s Glasses Up for Sale for $150,000
The new Netflix series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has brought the Dahmer case back into the spotlight. You would hardly believe that people are interested in it after seeing the series, but online the glasses Dahmer wore in prison are for sale.
Dahmer brutally abused and murdered 17 young men between 1978 and 1991. He was also known as ‘the Milwaukee cannibal’, because he saved and ate parts of his victims. In 1992, Dahmer was sentenced to life in prison, but after a few years was beaten to death by a fellow inmate.
The glasses Dahmer wore behind bars are now being sold. Taylor James, the owner of Cult Collectibles, tells TMZ that he is selling the glasses for $150,000. James was able to get the glasses and a lot of other stuff from Dahmer through a former housekeeper of Dahmer’s father Lionel.
On the Cult Collectibles website, you will find various items that have belonged to Dahmer. Think cutlery, his bible, a lot of paperwork and original family photos. The prison glasses are not on the website, you have to contact James directly for this.
Actor Evan Peters receives a lot of praise for his role as Jeffrey Dahmer, but not everyone is happy with the series. For example, relatives of Errol Lindsey, one of Dahmer’s victims, have announced on Twitter that they have not been informed of the Netflix plans. “Netflix should have asked how we felt about it, but they didn’t ask me. They just did it,” Lindsey’s sister said in an interview with Insider.
