Leicester City footballers deployed to promote Phuket in a TAT TV commercial
The Tourism Authority of Thailand has asked some famous players of Leicester City FC to promote tourism in Phuket in its new ad campaign ‘Amazing Moments in Phuket’.
The commercial, which will be broadcast on international TV stations including the BBC and Euro News, will feature James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho, who will narrate their impressive memories of Phuket through postcards, showing the smiles of Thai people and picturesque attractions, as well as water sports such as diving, surfing and skydiving as well as triathlete events.
The commercial will also showcase natural tourist attractions, Phuket’s Old Town and the diverse cuisine of this island in the Andaman Sea.
The 30-second TV Spot will also be shown by leading football media company Dugout Worldwide, as well as on communications channels owned by Thai duty-free retailer King Power.
The TAT expects the ad campaign to regain travellers’ confidence in visiting Phuket, with the Phuket Sandbox scheme enabling quarantine-free travel for vaccinated travellers within the island province, highlighting the Amazing Thailand branding used to promote tourism across the country.
