Man shot dead in a rice field in the Isaan

A Thai man has been shot dead in a rice field in Maha Sarakham’s Isaan province. Yesterday, a villager walking in the paddy field found the man’s body and called the police. According to reports, the man was shot five times.

Police identified the man as 36-year-old Nikorn Buamas. His mother told police she last saw her son on Sunday. She quickly arrived on the scene with the news that her son had been shot. She wondered how someone could kill her son and told the officers that he was a “simple man” and an “introvert.” She added that his occupation consisted of chopping wood and selling it to other villagers to earn money.
