Yesterday morning, a Thai man was arrested for stabbing his wife to death in front of Cha-uat police station earlier that morning.
Captain Thien Banthip, the Cha-uat district chief, said the stabbing happened around 9:30 a.m.
The body of 48-year-old Wilai Kaewrat was left outside the police station. She had been stabbed eight times in the chest and neck
The man, whose identity was not immediately disclosed, fled after the attack. But soon after, he was caught.
An investigation revealed that the woman was a widow who had lived with the attacker as husband and wife.
They argued in front of the police station and exchanged swear words. The man became angry and stabbed the woman with a sharp knife.
The motive for the crime was investigated.
