The death toll from Hurricane Ian in the United States (US) has risen to more than 100. According to CNN, most of the victims were in the state of Florida. The news channel reports that 101 people were killed there.

In addition to Florida, there were also at least four victims in the state of North Carolina. Three people were also killed in Canada.
Rescuers in Florida have been searching for survivors and victims since last Wednesday. They are searching for homes in affected areas and are now visiting about 45,000 homes in the region for a second time to help people. Thanks to previous rescue attempts, some 275 people have already been rescued from approached situations.

Last week, more than 3.3 million buildings in Florida were also without power and electricity. That was 491,000 yesterday. According to insurance agencies, the total damage caused by Hurricane Ian is at least $63 billion.
