On the first day of registration, more than 100,000 people have expressed their interest in the Moderna vaccination by the private Thonburi Healthcare Group (THG).
The chairman, Boon Vanasin expects the number to reach 300,000. The cost is 1,800 to 2,000 baht per dose, excluding additional medical costs that can go up to 300 to 500 baht, depending on the hospital.
The group also offers options for additional post-vaccination health and immunity checks for an additional 500 baht. Thonburi Healthcare Group announced on May 25 that it had purchased 5 million doses of Moderna vaccines through the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO), a state-owned company under the Ministry of Health.
The group expects to receive the vaccines by the end of September and plans to launch the vaccination program in October through its nationwide hospital network.
The THG Network, founded in 1976 by Dr Boon, consists of hospital networks and joint ventures at home and abroad.
The company includes seven hospitals in the country, three in Bangkok and four outside the capital.
