Motion cameras provide insight into wildlife in the reserve

The Department of National Parks, Fauna and Flora Conservation Yesterday released photos of wildlife taken with motion cameras in Phu Sithan Nature Reserve.

“These photos show that the efforts of the wildlife sanctuary officials to conduct smart patrols to prevent threats to wildlife have paid off so far,” said Phu Sithan Nature Reserve chief, KhunKomkrit Sampetcharoen. .

Phu Sithan Nature Reserve is located in the lower part of Phu Phan Mountain and includes Kalasin and Mukdahan provinces.

As this nature reserve has an abundance of food and water, there are many wildlife such as foxes, Malayan pangolins, Asian palm civets, flying squirrels, Sikhra sparrowhawks, Chinese pond herons, Green-billed Malkoha cuckoos, Chinese water dragon, Malayan krait- snakes and dark-sided frogs, reportedly recently, were discovered in the area.
