Murdered couple in northeast Thailand identified as that of a Nigerian man and Vietnamese woman
In a key advance in a murder case where the couple was found buried naked in a community forest in Korat province last week, police said today they identified them as being that of a Nigerian man and a Vietnamese woman.
the pl. National Police Chief Commissioner General Suchart Teerasawat, along with Immigration Bureau chief General Sompong Chingduang, flew by helicopter to Korat to monitor the case and met with key police units conducting the investigation.
After talking for an hour, General Suchart said the team had managed to track down the manufacturer of the silicon in the woman’s body. This was subsequently traced to an undisclosed company that said the silicon breast augmentation had been sent by them under batch 19060170 with a total of 340cc and to Vietnam.
Police then contacted the Vietnamese embassy to check the dead woman’s fingerprints and they later said they matched those of a 33-year-old Vietnamese woman.
The fingerprints of the deceased man were also examined and the result was that they matched those of a 38-year-old Nigerian man.
Thai police continue to work to solve this brutal murder case.
