Thai media had reported that a torso, arms and legs had been found, however no head was found under the car.

The driver of the Honda Saharat Ploykhrut, 29, of Pathum Thani had told Police Captain Yodkhom the he and his nine friends had been travelling together in four cars.

They had all left Pathum Thani province on the Thursday night as they were all going for a long weekend on Koh Chang in Trat.

When they was about to drive away from the gas station, one of the friends had noticed what looked like a body of some sort under his car.

Mr Saharat and his friends had first thought that it was just a dead dog. As he slowly backed up the car away from the remains they were shocked to find a human body.

Mr Saharat and his girlfriend reported that he and his friends has seen what they thought was a dog carcass  on the road about 34km before they had reached the gas station. As it was dark, visabilty had been an issue and they could not clearly see what it was. Mr Saharat’s car had been the last of the four vehicles past the spot.

Pol Capt Yodkhom said Mr Saharat’s Honda car would be thoroughly examined at the police station. The other three vehicles also showed no signs of having hit anything.

The 10 holidaymakers from Pathum Thani said they would continue their journey to Koh Chang as planned, but in three cars. They would return to the police station to get Mr Saharat’s car after their holiday.
