No face mask on? : In 63 provinces in Thailand you can incur a hefty fine!

Due to the third wave of the virus with increasing Covid-19 cases, 63 counties have now ordered people to wear face masks in public. Violation of this order can result in a fine of up to 20,000 baht.

According to the Department of the Interior, the following counties require the wearing of face masks in public:

CENTRAL, WEST AND EAST THAILAND:
Kanchanaburi, Prachinburi, Phetchaburi, Suphanburi, Ayutthaya, Samut Sakhon, Lopburi, Samut Prakan, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chonburi, Saraburi, Trat, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Chanthabao, Bangkok, Chumachoengs, Saabani Kaew, Ang Thong, Nakhon Nayok and Sing Buri.

THE SOUTH:
Surat Thani, Trang, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phang-nga, Phuket, Ranong, Satun, Songkhla, Yala, Krabi, Phatthalung and Chumphon.

THE NORTH: Sukhothai, Tak, Phetchabun, Uttaradit, Lamphun, Phitsanulok, Chiang Mai and Nakhon Sawan.

THE NORTH EAST: Yasothon, Nong Khai, Ubon Ratchathani, Chaiyaphum, Maha Sarakham, Mukdahan, Sisaket, Surin, Udon Thani, Loei, Amnat Charoen, Buriram, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Nakhon Ratchasima, Bueng Kana Lamphui and Roi art.

In addition, there are now voluntary nighttime exit restrictions in place in eight provinces, compared to six previously: Trang (10 PM to 3 AM), Nonthaburi (9 PM to 4 AM), Bung Kan (11 PM to 4 AM), Pathum Thani (9-4pm), Songkhla (10pm-4am), Samut Sakhon (11pm to 4am) and Surat Thani (10pm to 4am).
