Must read

So last year we and many other media outlets around the world, published a story about an American man living in Pattaya, that had stabbed his wife and how she had fled to the streets with her child seeking safety. You can read the story below:

American arrested for stabbing Thai wife in Pattaya

So, as the story goes, police had raided a condo in Pattaya after a man had tried stabbing his wife and finding the man in bed with drugs and alcohol in the room.

However, new evidence has come to light,  and it seems that this American is not the savage that everyone thinks.

I had received a message about a week ago asking if I remember the story and if it was possible to meet and set the records straight. Of course, I was intrigued and replied asking when and where.

That night I met up with a Mr Nicholas Dana Hillman who was the offender in this case. Mr Hillman was accompanied by his longtime friend and now girlfriend.

Nicholas had explained to me in great detail that he did not try and kill his girlfriend (Sirinapa Wisetrit, 29 this year), but try to protect himself from her.

Nicholas had only dated Sirinapa 4 – 5 times and they quickly realised there was a spark and decided to live together along with her young child. After she moved in with Nicholas, the relationship went south and the arguments started.

After Nicholas had decided that the relationship was not working,  he had spoken to Sirinapa about his concerns and she had turned violent. Nicholas then asked Sirinapa that he wanted her to leave the condo, but as she had a small child, they could stay the night and leave in the morning.

During the night when Nicholas was sleeping, Sirinapa tried beating him over the head. After many failed attempts to by Nicholas to calm the situation down, Sirinapa then tried lunging at Nicholas in the kitchen, wherein a bid to protect himself, Nicholas had picked up one of the knives and used it.

The knife did not go all the way in, it was only a small cut, so more of a warning for Sirinapa to back off.

I then asked the girlfriend Nicholas was with,  about how she knows him and about their relationship. Nicholas and his now girlfriend were both dating before,  but had split up previously just to “take some time out”.

She heard about the stabbing and did not believe it as Nicholas has never been violent toward her, only kind. She has also stuck by Nicholas during his trial and is more than happy to be a proper girlfriend again.

In all the stories that were published about this case last August, nowhere does it state that Sirinapa had lied to the police and to the court. Sirinapa had told the police that Nicholas and herself had been together for 10 years, even though Nicholas was not even in Thailand at this point but in Sweden.

Sirinapa had also told police that Nicholas would regularly beat her, bound and tie her to a motorbike and then drive around Jomtien at night looking for a place to kill her.

Sirinapa had also stated that Nicholas would chase her down the street in Jomtien with a knife in a desperate bid to kill her.

So, we all know Jomtien, do you not think that someone or even the police would have seen a man chasing a screaming woman down the street with a knife. And more to the point, I am 100% sure someone driving through the streets at night with a lady bound and strapped to a bike, would have caught someone’s eye.

This seems that after Nicholas had ended their relationship, Sirinapa did not want to be alone again and nor did she want to lose the security,  money and a place to live. So then turned nasty and after Nicholas protecting himself against a psychotic ex, she then tried framing him for attempted murder amongst other things.

Nicholas is now released from prison after winning his case and is just looking to get back what life he can. The Thai authorities have no objection to Nicholas staying in Thailand and carrying on his life. I am sure that if Nicholas was guilty of savage crimes, he would still be in prison, or deported.

We will be having an exclusive tv interview with Nicholas in the near future so please stay tuned for more on this story

So, just a few things to point out quickly…In the first publication us and most, if not all other publications had printed Sirinapa’s name wrong. Her name and age was published as, Damrong Arjdee, 49, so that is now corrected.

Sirinapa also uses several names, line accounts and numbers. She now claims to have one American husband, one German husband and one Swedish husband.
