Phuket is the first province under the government’s plan to reopen the country to foreign tourists in an effort to boost the country’s economy.

To achieve the goal, Anutin said 70 percent of the county’s population, or 466,587 people 18 and older, tourism personnel and immigrant workers, should have received their Covid19 shot.
